Gear Progression Guide (For Mains & Irons) (2024)

• The Ibans Staff can be acquired either as a drop from ankous in the wilderness or as a reward forcompleting the Graveyard Shift II achievement which requires youto kill 125 ankous. For HCIMs, the achievement route is recommended since the ankous can be killed in the Stronghold Slayer Cave to avoid entering the wilderness.
• The Tome of Fire can be acquired as a drop from catching essenceimplings or from the Runex Point Store at ::shops for 40k runex points.
• Once you have both of these items, you can type ::rc in the chatbox to teleport to the Imbuing Wizard where you can imbue both the Ibans Staff and the Tome of Fire. The Ibans Staff costs 7,500 runex points and the Tome of Fire costs 40k runex points to imbue.
• The Cursed magic set is made either by opening cursed mystery boxes and cursed caskets, or by taking elder chaos robes and blood money to the Cursed Enchanter inside the Cursed Cavern. HCIMs beware this is deep in the wilderness. A total of 37.5k blood money is needed to make the set (10k for the hood, 15k for the robe top, and 12.5k for the robe bottoms).
• The Decorative magic robes can be purchased from the Achievement Store at ::shops for 25 achievement points per piece.Anything that you purchase from this store can be returned and you will receive all of your achievement points back.
• Karamja gloves 3 (A.KA. K3 gloves) cost2,500 trading sticks to purchase. Mains can simply buy the trading sticks from the trading post but irons will have to teleport to the Kharazi Island from the minigame teleports and collect the trading sticks themselves. I recommend players to have at least 70+ in melee combat stats and 43+ prayer for protection prayers since killing monsters on the island is the fastest way of collecting trading sticks. For the purpose of just getting the K3 gloves, players shouldn't worry themselves too much with grinding gear on the island. Just run around and loot the chests until you get a decent weapon - I'd say a granite longsword works just fine - and then go kill monsters. Once you have the 2,500 trading sticks you can trade them in for the gloves by clicking on the trading sticks.
• There are two ways to acquire Devout Boots. Firstly, by killing drakes in the Karuulm dungeon until you get a Drake's Tooth. Then use the tooth on a pair of Holy Sandals, which can be obtained from easy task scrolls. The other method of getting devout boots is to receive them as a reward from hard task scrolls. The best way for early game players to farm these is by completing 5x easy task scrolls to do the task scroll daily, which rewards 1x hard casket and 1x elite casket upon completion. These bootshave the highest prayer bonus (+16) for boots in the entire game as well as slight accuracy stats forallstyles of combat. Once obtained, Devout Boots will be the only pair of boots you will need for a very long time and are well worth the investment to get these as early as possible.

Side Note: The task scrolldaily is worth completing every day for all players but especially for irons. Hard and elite caskets can not only be a great source of runecoins betweenall the 3rd age items on their drop tables, but players can also get pieces of the Ancestral set before being ready forChambers of Xeric.

• TheEfficiency Blessing can be bought at ::rc from the runecoin machine for 5k runecoins. This blessing has an effect that gives players a 15% chance to attack 1 tick faster.

Gearing for Hunllef:Ideally, players should have a Tainted Karils Crossbow to start Hunllef. However, players with 175 achievement points can get around this pretty easily. First,teleport to ::rc and buy the Elite Void Armour and Elite Void Robe for 10k runecoins each and a Ring of Vigour for 15k runecoins. Then go to ::shops and buy the Void Ranger Helm and Void Knight Gloves from the Runex Point Shop for25k runex points each. Then from the Achievement Store buy a New Crystal Bow for 25 achievement points and a Crystal Blessing for 150 achievement points. If you bought the Decorative robes from the early game section, you can return those for full points back. Finally, you will need a defence reducing special attack weapon. For irons, either a Dragon 2h Warhammer from Lizard Shaman King or a regular Dragon Warhammer from Lizard Shaman King or Lizardman Shaman are the best options. Lizard Shaman King is killed in masses but can sometimes take a while to get one started. For mains, I recommend getting a Brackish Blade. It is relatively cheap and reduces defense by 50%. Once you have all this, you are ready to start the Crystal grind.

Desired Drops from Hunllef:Armor Set: Crystal Helm, Crystal Platebody, and Crystal Platelegs. Bow of Faerdhinen pieces: Enhanced Crystal Bow Seed, Enhanced Crystal Limbs, and Enhanced Crystal Sigil. The Bow of Faerdhinen is made by combining all 3 of the bow pieces and 100 crystal shards. Blade of Saeldorand aHunllef Pet.Which pet you get doesn't matter, they have the same effect.

Crystal is an amazing set that will carry players well into the end game grinds. The armor set gives 10% accuracy anddamage to crystal weapon and has a set bonus for a further 20% increase for a total of 50% just from the armor set. Then the Crystal Blessing adds an additional 25% accuracy and damage. And the Hunllef pet provides another 7.5% boost. All together this gear set gives a whopping 82.5% increase to accuracy and damage when using crystal weapons.

Players can opt to take this set even further by taking on the Tormented Hunllef. This boss drops Tormented Crystal Sigils which can be used to upgrade both the Blade of Saeldor and the Bow of Faerdhinen,theTormented Hunllef Pet which gives a 12.5% accuracy and damage boost, and Crystal of Iorwerth which can be used to dye the Crystal armor set pieces black and gives them a boost to their stats. I recommend players to just do Tormented Hunllef until they get 3 Crystal of Iorwerth for their armor set and move on. The regular versions of the weapons are powerful enough to carry you into the end game grinds.

The Mage of Wisdom is a specialized shop at ::rc that requires players to complete trade-ins of random items in exchange for runecoins. There are only 3 items in the shop available to purchase at any given time and the items in the shop are randomized every 12 hours. To unlock the shop, players need to complete either the first 4 exchangesOR the last exchange. Alternatively, players can purchase a Wisdom Skip Scroll from the Wandering Merchant standing outside of ::shops. This scroll is a one-time use item that allows players to skip the exchange requirement aspect of the Mage of Wisdom and directly purchase a single item from the shop. You just need the Wisdom Skip Scroll and the necessary runecoins in your inventory to make the purchase. Note: for mains, buying from the trading post will usually be more favorable both in terms of price and not having to wait for specific items for show up in the shop.

From this shop, players want to purchase an Amulet of Zealots (this will be used with melee and ranged sets), Staff of Light, and Arcane Stream Necklace from this shop for 10k runecoins each. The Staff of Light has an effect that provides a 25% boost in accuracy when used with the Arcane Stream Necklace. The 3 god halos - Zamorak, Guthix, and Saradomin - can be purchased from this shop for 7.5k runecoins each and when you have all 3, take them along withan imbuing stone to the Enchant Chest outside of ::rc and make an Infernal Halo. The Infernal Halo gives a 2% increase to accuracy and damagefor each god item equipped. For the set that you have or are working towards, that includes the Ancestral Top, Ancestral Robe Bottom, Staff of Light, Devout Boots, and any of the god capes for a total of 10% boost to accuracy anddamage.

Side Note: There are other notable purchases aside from the items listed above that will be agreat help in the future. These items include the Shayzien armor set, which gives a 42.5% damage boost against demons and dragons, 12.5% per piece and a 5% set bonus. This can later be upgraded into the Shayzien (i) set which gives a total of 60% increase, 15% per piece and a 15% set bonus. This upgrade requires a regular Shayzien set, an Imbuing Crystal, and 15 Lava Pendants. An Infernal Heart is also a good item to get when it shows up since it is used as an ingredient for the Enchanted Heart, which is the best stat boosting item in game. TheGuthix Bowis used as a component of the Chasmquaker Bow, which will be talked about in more detail later, and is a good idea to buy one if it shows up in the shop.

Picturedis the Shayzien (i) set. It has identical stats to the regular Shayzien set, but has a much stronger passive effect as described above.

• The Wandering Merchant is an npc standing outside of ::shops. Each week,he will ask you to turn in random items in exchange for wanderer tokens. There are 4 tiers of items that he will ask for: easy, medium, hard, and elite. Easy, medium, and hard tiers each have 3 steps and the elite tier is a single step. The easy tier rewards players with 100 wanderer tokens, medium rewards 250 tokens, hard rewards 500 tokens for completion of all 3 steps. The elite tier rewards 1,000 tokens. Players also have the option to turn in tradable Mystery Tickets in exchange for wanderer tokens. The first few trade-ins will give bonus tokens, but after the bonus tokens have been claimed it is a flat rate of 75 wanderer tokens per ticket.
• As a new player, you will be required to complete all 3 steps of a tier to receive any tokens. I recommend to focus only on easy and medium steps at this stage of the game since the items asked for in the hard tier can get expensive and you will not receive any tokens unless you complete all 3 steps. As soon as you are able to complete enough easy tiers or a single full medium tier, every player's first purchase should be the Wanderer Insurance Scroll. This scroll divides up the rewards of each tierand gives tokensper step instead of having to complete the full tier. After unlocking the insurance scroll, easy steps reward 34 tokens per step, medium stepsreward 84 tokens per step, and hard steps reward 167 tokens per step. Since the elite tier is only 1 step, this remains unaffected by the insurance scroll. This breakdown of the tiers makes it infinitely easier to save up tokens for the purchases ahead.
• The Exotic Loot Scrolls unlock Challenge Mode only drops for their respective bosses and cost 750 wanderer tokens each. The Chasmquaker Scroll unlocks the Chasmquaker Terrataurboss itself and costs 1k wanderer tokens. My reasoning for purchasing the Exotic Loot Scroll (Terror) first is that the Inquisitor set (Executioner with the new Exorbitant Orb just unlocked with the loot scroll) is the best in slot set to use for Chasmquaker. The Exotic Loot Scroll (Chasm) also requires you have to the boss unlocked first to be able to utilize it, therefore costing a total of 1,750 wanderer tokens, whereas you can use the Exotic Loot Scroll (Terror) right away for only 750 tokens. Terror only requires a killcount of 50 Nightmares to unlock.

Gearing For the Nightmare/Night Terror:Players have a few different sets they can choose from to kill this boss depending on their luck in the previous steps. Corrupted Torags and Infested Guthans from Elite Barrows are both viable sets to use. However, the Crystal armorset with a Blade of Saeldor will out-dps both of them. Choose what's available to you, and bring a defence reducing special attackweapon like you did with Hunllef. Nightmare and Terror are weak to crush so Dragon 2h Warhammer or Dragon Warhammer is recommended over the Brackish Blade for this boss. Players also need to bring chinchompas to kill the Sleep Walkers that spawn in between phases and a Sanfew Serum to weaken the parasite that the boss will infect players with in phase 2.

Desired Drops from the Nightmare/Night Terror: Armor set:Inquisitor Faceguard, Inquisitor Hauberk, and Inquisitor Legguards. Exorbitant Orb,Inquisitor Mace, Inquisitor Blessing, Nightmare Staff, Terror Orb, Siren Tome, Night Terror Pet, Grand Crests, and Imbuing Stones.

Inquisitor armor gives a 7.5% damage boost to the Nightmare and Night Terror bosses per piece and has a set effect that increases accuracy and damge by 10% when using maces,bludgeons, hammers, and mauls. This effect makes the Inquisitor set versatile as you can use it with other weapons besides the Inquisitor Mace, such as the Corrupted Torag Hammers or Brimstone Hammer. The Challenge Mode only drop, Exorbitant Orbs, can be added to Inquisior amor pieces to upgrade them to Executioner armor pieces. Executioner armor includes the Inquisitor effect and has a special Executioner effect: each piece of Executioner gives a 3% chance to deal an Execution melee attack that deals 2x damage to monsters. Note: Executioner effect does not work with the Scythe of Vitur or any of its variations, nor any range or magic. The Inquisitor Mace is the best in slot weapon to use against the Nightmare/Night Terror and Chasmquaker bosses. The Inquisitor Blessing increases accuracy and damage by 10% when using maces, bludgeons, hammers, and mauls just like the armor set and is the best in slot blessing to use when using any of these types of weapons.

The Nightmare Staff and Terror Orb combine to make the Nightmare Staff (Terror) and is a powerful staff second only to the Cursed Kodai Wand in terms of dps but provides a passive prayer restoration effect. The Siren Tome is the best in slot magic off-hand for blood barrage. The Night Terror Pet is an amazing pet for pvm that restores your health to 99 when it falls below 10 and has a 3 minute cooldown. Lastly, the Night Terror is one of the best sources of Grand Crests and Imbuing Stones in the game, both of which are needed in large amounts to make the best in slot end game armor sets. I recommend that players hoard the Grand Crestsuntil they have enough to make the crest armors (Crestbearer, Crestroot, and Ancrestral). A total of 85 crests will be needed for these 3 sets. Imbuing Stones are needed for various enchantments in the game. I recommend to save 1-2 at all times and take the rest of them to the Enchant Chest outside of ::rc to roll for Imbuing Crystals.

Side Note: Inquisitor and Executioner pieces are considered to be Zamorak items and therefore work with the Unholy Ring. This will give a 6.75% increase to accuracy and damage (2.25% per itemup to 3 items) and is the best in slot ring to use with this armor set.

Gearing for the Chasmquaker Terrataur:As mentioned above, the Inquisitor/Executioner armor sets are best to use for this boss. However, Crystal armor with a Blade of Saeldor is also a good way to grind Chasmquaker. Pick one of these two sets that is available to you, and bring a magic set to switch to. If killing Chasmquaker in Challenge Mode also bring a Steel Titan,Steel of Legends Scrolls, and 1-2 summoning potions. Again, as with all the previous bosses, bring a defence reducing special attack weapon. Chasmquaker is also weak to crush so a Dragon 2h Warhammer or Dragon Warhammer is recommended over aBrackish Blade. For mains, buy a Necromancer's Tome from the trading post. This tome increases your damage dealt by 33% when using a summoning familiar and increases the max hit of summoning familiars by 50% for both special attacks and normal attacks. I do not suggest irons to try to get this tome since it is only attainable as a raredrop from Exotic Mystery Boxes from the Wandering Merchant. Once irons have purchased both exotic loot scrolls and the Chasmqualer unlock scroll, they should be saving all of their wanderer tokens for the Blessing of Armaments and Recharge/Unyielding Accessories as their next purchases.

Desired Drops from Chasmquaker Terrataur:Exuberant Core, Terrametal Alloy, and Terrametal Shards.

Exuberant Cores are the Challenge Mode only drops for Chasmquaker unlocked with the Exotic Loot Scroll (Chasm). Use these on Ferocious Gloves or Devout Boots to make Executioner Gloves and Boots. Executioner Gloves and Boots keep the same effects of the Ferocious Gloves and Devout Boots and add the same Executioner effect as the armor set.

The Terrametal Alloys and Shards are used with other items to make the strongest bow in the game, the Chasmquaker Bow. To make the Chasmquaker Bow you will need a total of 3 Terrametal Alloys, 300 Terrametal Shards, 3 Zenyte Shards, 3k Runite Ore, 3k Amethyst and a Guthix Bow. Combine 1 Terrametal Alloy with 1 Zenyte Shard, 1k Runite Ore, and 1k Amethyst to make a Chasmquaker Core. Use 3 Chasmquaker Cores on a Guthix Bow to make the Chasmquaker Bow. This bow fires 3 arrows per shot and restores special attack by 10% for every 200 damage dealt.

Chasmquaker Gauntlets and Chasmquaker Battleaxe are other items that can be made by grinding this boss. To make the gauntlets, make 1 Chasmquaker Core as described above and use it on a pair of Molten Gauntlets. To make the Chasmquaker Battleaxe, make 2 Chasmquaker Cores and use them on a Kharazi Battleaxe. I recommend players to just make the bow and move on, you can always come back for the remaining items when you have better gear. The gauntlets are best in slot gloves to use with the Scythe of Vitur and any of its variants but its recommended not to use any scythe until you have a Scythe of Sanguinesti, the single best melee weapon in the game. The battleaxe has very niche uses and it excels in those few areas butyou can easily get toend game content without ever having one.

Gearing for Nex/Harbringer Nex:Crystal set with the Bow of Faerdhinen is a great early setup to begin killing Nex. Due to Nex's weakness to one-handed crossbows, players can opt to use other setups. Zanik's Crossbow (i) and an Abyssal Crossbow with Abyssal Gloves are other popular methods used by early to mid game players. Bring a defence reducing special attack weapon and plenty of Saradomin Brews and food.

Desired Drops from Nex/Harbringer Nex: Armor Set:Torva Full Helm, Torva Platebody, and Torva Platelegs.Nihil Horn, Zaryte Vambraces, Ancient Hilt, Nex Pet, Elite God Component.In addition to these drops listed above, Harbringer Nex also dropsTorva Components,andHarbringer Nex Pet.

Torva (cr) is the best melee armor set in game for all melee based pvm except for Night Terror and Chasmquaker. The Torva armor pieces are dropped in a broken form and require an Elite God Component to repair. Once you have repaired Torva pieces, these can be broken down to make Torva Components. 18 Torva Components are needed to make a Torva (cr) set. A full Torva set (full helm,platebody, andplatelegs) yields 10 Torva Components. Torva armor pieces can also be broken down individually for a random number of Torva Components. A full helm will give 1-2 components, platelegs give 2-3, andplatebodies give 3-4. I generally recommend players to save all Torva armor pieces until you have a full set since it will yield more Torva Components than breaking down individually. However there are some instances where it's better to break down individually. Say, for example, after killing hundreds of Nex and Harbringer Nex you end up with 3 full helms, 1 platebody, and 4 platelegs. You could break down 1 full set for 10 Torva Components but then you'dstill be 8 components short. However, since you have 2 extra full helms and 3 extra platelegs, these individual pieces can be broken down for 8-13 more components. Now you have enough Torva Components to finish the Torva (cr) set. There are several different combination of armor pieces you can get so its up to your discretion to save to break down as a set or individually, this was just as an example. Once you have the 18 Torva Components, you will also need 3 Elite God Components and a Crestbearer set to complete the Torva (cr) set.

A Nihil Horn is used with 4 Elite God Components and 250 Nihil Shards to make a Zaryte Crossbow, the best in slot crossbow at Nex. The Zaryte Vambraces give a 30% increase to damage and 15% increase to accuracywhen using Zaryte weapons (Zaryte Crossbow and Zaryte Bow). These vambraces have very good stats and can be used even without Zaryte weaponry. However, Zaryte weapons are not recommended to be used without the vambraces. The Ancient Hilt is used with 25 Godsword Blades to make the Ancient Godsword. Once players have this Ancient Godsword, they can take it to the Enchant Chest outside ::rc along with the 4 ornamentalgodswords from master task scrolls and a Torva Component to make the Ancient Godsword (or). This is arguably the best dps special attack weapon in game. As long as the special attack doesn't hit a 0, it will deal damage on impact and then is followed by a guaranteed 250 damage and simultaneous 25 hp heal to the player. The Nex pet proides players with a 5% boost to curse prayers and a 7.5% boost to ancient spells. This is a great starter pet to use for dps if not using the Hunllef pet. The Harbringer Nex Pet doubles the boosts of the Nex Pet to 10% and 15% respectively.

• The Cerberite Halberd is powerful two-handed melee weapon that attacks twice on monsters with a 2x2 or larger hitbox. This weapon is stronger than a regular Scythe of Vitur due to it working with Executioner Gloves and Boots. It is arare drop from the Colossal Cerberus, a superior versionof Cerberus. To encounter superior bosses, you need to unlock the Superior Bosses I or II boss perk from the Beast Master located west of the home bank. Colossal Cerberus has a chance to spawn upon killingCerberus at a rate of 1/500 with Superior Bosses I or 1/250 with Superior Bosses II.
• Cerberus has a prayer draining effect so using a Spectral Spirit Shield is recommended to reduce the amount of prayer drained, making trips last longer and more relaxed. Spectral Sigils are dropped commonly by Donator Mystery Boxes and Mystery Chests but if you don't have one you can get one as a drop from the Corporeal Beast or Corpethereal Beast. Use a Holy Elixir on a Spirit Shield to make a Blessed Spirit Shield then use the sigil on the shield to make the Spectral Spirit Shield.
• There's a variety of different methods you can use to camp Cerberus. The Crystal set and a Blade of Saeldor work very well. If you have a Shayzien (i) set, you can use that instead of the Crystal armor set and keep the Blade of Saeldor and Crystal Blessing. The Shayzien (i) set gives a 60% damage boost vs. the 50% from the Crystal set. If you have an Inquisitor Blessing, you can use the Shayzien (i) set with the Inquisitor Blessing and a Brimstone Hammer while on a Cerberus slayer task. If you have an Inquisitor armor set and Inquisitor Blessing you can use that with a Brimstone Hammer while on a Cerberus slayer task. If you're maxed but don't have the Sacred Dungeon unlocked you can also use Shayzien (i) with a regular Arclight.
• The best in slot setup to use for the fastest kills is Shayzien (i) with an Arclight (i). To get an Arclight (i) players will need to unlock the Sacred Dungeon.The Sacred Dungeon can be unlocked by either achieving 200m xp in all skills and buying a Maxed Cape (200m) from the General Store at ::shops, enchanting a Grand Max Cape, or completing all achievements (except Grandmaster Raids) and buying a Completionist Cape from Max standing east of ::rc. Once you have one of these capes you need to sacrifice 100 ancient shards. After you have the Sacred Dungeon unlocked, you will need a further 90 ancient shards to make 5 regular Arclights. Take these 5 Arclights to the Inventor at the Max Guild and you can trade them in for an Arclight (i). The Arclight (i) is untradeable but the regular Arclights are tradeable so mains can opt to buy the 5 Arclights from other players. If using an Arclight or Arclight (i), a Blessing of Armaments would be best to use if you have one. If not, use an Efficiency Blessing.
• Buy a Currency Pouch from the runecoin machine at ::rc for 100k runecoins to be able to store Epic Luck Tokens. Keep them in there until you get a Colossal Cerberus spawn then then withdraw one before it is killed. Alternatively, if you do not have a Currency Pouch, you can keep10 Vote Tickets in your inventory and exchange them for Epic Luck Tokens before the Colossal Cerberus is killed.

• This set gives a 5% damage boost per piece and a set bonus of a 10% damage boost for a total of 25% damage boost. Itis made at the Enchant Chest outside of ::rc with a total of 30 Grand Crests, 45 Sacred Tokens, and 47.5k runecoins. If you followed this guide then you should already have a decent stack of Grand Crests from Night Terror. You can finish however many Grand Crests you need by either going back to Terror or combining Grand Crest Pieces 1, 2, and 3 to make a full Grand Crest. These individual pieces can be acquired from other bosses, or miscellaneous chests/boxes throughout the game. The most reliable method of farming crest pieces is the wilderness bosses. Sacred Tokens are a little trickier to come by if you are not maxed. If you are maxed, you will need to unlock the Sacred Dungeon for the fastest method of farming the tokens.
• If you are not maxed, there's a number of methods to get Sacred Tokens although they are all slower than the Sacred Dungeon. You can purchase a Sacred Accessory from the runecoin machine at ::rc for 10k runecoins. You can also opt to make this a Master Fortune Accessory by also purchasing a Treasure Accessory and a Bonus Accessory for 7.5k and 5k runecoins respectively. Then head to the Enchant Chest outside ::rc and enchant a Fortune Accessory with these 3 accessories and 10k runecoins. Then you can enchant the Master Fortune Accessory with the Fortune Accessory and 35k runecoins. Master Fortune Accessories drop 2 Sacred Tokens at a time whereas Fortune and Sacred Accessories only drop 1. However, due to the Fortune and Master Fortune Accessories also having other items they can drop, I recommend just using a Sacred Accessory if your only goal is farming tokens. Whichever accessory you decide to go with, put it on a pet and you will have a random chance to get Sacred Tokens when you kill monsters with a combat level of 150 or above.
• Sacred Tokens are also dropped by some superior bosses so if you have started the Cerberite Halberd grind or any of the other superior bosses, you might already have some tokens saved up. And finally, you can get Sacred Tokens from opening hard, elite, or master caskets and Grand Crests. However, I do not recommend opening crests for this purpose since they are needed in large amounts to make the armor sets.

• Justiciar is an armor set acquired by getting rare chests in the Theatre of Blood raid.
• Please refer to the Night Terror section of the guide to see how to get Executioner armor set.
• To utilize these two sets, you only need the body and leg slots. For the helmet slot you will use an Infernal Halo that you should have gotten when upgrading magic gear to use with Ancestral.
• Justiciar is a holy item and Executioner is an unholy item so their respective ancient rings will be needed if using either of these sets.

Armor Set:Crystal ->Justiciar -> Crestbearer -> Shayzien -> Executioner ->Torva (cr) -> Shayzien (i)

• Executioner set has a slightly lower max hit than the Crestbearer set but has higher accuracy due to the Infernal Halo effect, and extra 6% Executioner effect from the hauberk and legguards more than make up for the max hit difference.
• The Shayzien and Shayzien (i) sets are only better against demons and dragons. Some players also opt to use the Torva (cr) set over Shayzien (i) for the increased sustainability.

Weapon:Blade of Saeldor -> Scythe of Vitur -> Holy Scythe of Vitur -> DHL-> Cerberite Halberd -> DHL (i) -> Scythe of Sanguinesti

• The Dragon Hunter Lances are only better against dragons. The DHL (i) is made at the Enchant Chest with a regular DHL, 2x Philosophous Claws dropped by the Philosophous Hydra (superior version of Hydra) and 250 Divine Shards.
• If Using a Scythe of Vitur or any variation of it, use Chasmquaker Gauntlets. Any other weapon use Executioner Gloves.
• Scythe of Vitur is obtained ina purple chest from the Theatre of Blood raid. Its variants, the Holy Scythe of Vitur and Scythe of Sanguinesti are obtained in a red chest in Theatre of Blood afflicted raids when using 4 or 5 afflictions.

Blessing:Efficiency Blessing-> Blessing of Armaments -> Blessing of Artillery

• TheBlessing of Artillery is made at the Enchant Chestwith the Blessings of Armaments and Berserker with a 20% success rate.
• There are other blessings that can be used: Fortitude, Protection, and Rampart. The Blessing of Rampart is made at the Enchant Chest with the Blessings of Fortitude and Protection with a 20% success rate. These blessings are used when you need extra durability and have niche uses. The list provided above is for dps purposes.

Necklace:Amulet of the Damned (t) -> Amulet of Nardah -> Amulet of Zealots -> Amulet of Zealots (i)

• The Amulet of Zealots (i) is made at the Enchant Chest with an Amulet of Zealots and an Imbuing Crystal at a 50% success rate.

Ring: Ring of Vigour -> GrandRing -> Brimstone Ring (i) -> Grand Ring (i)

• The Brimstone Ring is obtained by combining the Hydra's Eye, Hydra's Fang, and Hydra's Heart. All of these are dropped by normal hydras, the Alchemical Hydra, and the Philosophous Hydra. Players should immediately take this ring to the Imbue Wizard at ::rc to make it a Brimstone Ring (i) if it will be their best ring.
• Grand Rings are obtained from Grand Crests or Master Caskets. I advise players not to open Grand Crests until they have enough saved for all the crest armor sets. The Grand Ring (i) is made at the Enchant Chest with a Grand Ring and an Imbuing Stone with a 25% success rate.

• This set has the same 5% damage boost per piece and set bonus of 10% damage as the Crestbearer set, except this applies to ranged attacks only. It is the best in slot armor for ranged.
• To make this set, players must first purchase a Darkroot set. This is purchased from the Platinum Trader at ::shops for a total of 22.5mplatinum tokens (22.5b cash)and 180k runecoins. Players need 150 or more achievements completed to access this shop. Once you have the Darkroot set, take it to the Enchant Chest with 25 Grand Crests and you can enchant the Crestroot set.

Armor Set: Crystal -> Crestroot

• Players who wish to switch from Crystal armor before obtaining Crestroot can use Elite Void, or an Infernal Halo + God D'hide + respective ancient ring. I did not include this in the ranking since it heavily depends on which weapon is being used but are options nonetheless.

Weapon: Zaryte Bow -> Scorpia Blowpipe -> Bow of Faerdhinen -> Zaryte Crossbow -> Chasmquaker Bow

• Due to the Scorpia Blowpipe not needingammunition, a Blessing of Armaments or Artillery would be best to use. Efficiency Blessing does not work with the Scorpia Blowpipe.
• The Zaryte Bow can be obtained as a rare reward from opening Donator Mystery Boxes or Mystery Chests, or purchased from the Sacred Token Exchange for 50 tokens. I do not recommend players to use tokens to purchase the bow unless you already have made a Crestbearer set. If you have Zaryte Vambraces, I would place the Zaryte Bow ahead of the Scorpia Blowpipe.

Necklace: Amulet of the Damned (t) -> Amulet of Nardah -> Amulet of Zealots -> Twisted Pendant -> Amulet of Zealots (i) -> Amulet of Ranging (t)

• The Twisted Pendant is made at the Enchant Chest with Twisted Shards, a Sanuinesti Pendant, and a Necklace of Anguish. The Twisted Shards are obtained in a purple chest in the Chambers of Xeric raid. The Sanguinesti Pendant is obtained as a rare drop from a non-purple chest in the Theatre of Blood raid.
• The Amulet of Ranging (t) is obtained as a drop from the Reanimated Kalphite Queen. Players will need to obtain Kq Heads either as a drop from the Kalphite Queen or from other players and go to the Achievement Guild which is unlocked at 150 achievements completed. Climb down the ladder and use the Kq Heads to spawn the Reanimated Kalphite Queen.

Ring: Ring of Vigour -> Shaman Ring -> Crystal Ring -> Grand Ring -> Crystal Ring (i) -> Grand Ring (i)

• The Shaman Ring is obtained as a drop from the Lizarman Shaman or Lizard Shaman King. Can also be obtained from Donator Mystery Boxes or Mystery Chests. There is an imbued version of the ring but it is not worth making unless needed for task scrolls.
• The Crystal Ring is obtained as a rare drop from the Crystal Chest. It can be imbued at the Enchant Chest for a Crystal Ring, Imbuing Stone, and 15 noted crystal keys with a 33% success rate.

Gloves: Karamja Gloves 3 -> Zaryte Vambraces -> Hydra Leather Vambraces

• Hydra Leather Vambraces are made by using Superior Hydra Leather on a pair of Lava D'hide Vambraces. The Superior Hydra Leather is obtained as a rare drop from the Philosophous Hydra. The Lava D'hide Vambraces are obtained as a drop from the King Lava Dragon and cannot be crafted.
• If using either a Zaryte Bow or Zaryte Crossbow, use Zaryte Vambraces.

Boots: Devout Boots -> Lava D'hide Boots -> Molten Boots -> Hydra Leather Boots

• Lava D'hide Boots are made by crafting them using Grand Lava Dragonhide, dropped from the King Lava Dragon. Use a Superior Hydra Leather on these boots to make Hydra Leather Boots.
• Molten Boots are obtained from opening Grand Crests or opening the Larran's Chest in the wilderness. I recommend not to open Grand Crests to try to get these boots until all crest armor sets have been made.
• Although Devout Boots have a lower stats for damage, their +16 prayer boost still makes them a more favorable option for many players.

Armor Set:Ancestral -> Twisted Ancestral -> Blood Shaman -> Ancrestral

• Twisted Ancestral is made by using a Twisted Ornament Kit on a piece of Ancestral. This kit is obtained from a purple chest in the Chambers of Xeric raid.
• Blood Shaman are specialized robes that boost the damage of blood spells by 10% and is only recommended to use if you are blood barraging or using any other blood related ancient spell. Otherwise, use Ancestral or any variant of it. This set can be acquired from the Kharazi minigame.
• Ancrestral is made by using Crestcloth on Ancestral pieces. Crestcloths are made at the Enchant Chest for 1 Imbuing Crystal and 5 Grand Crests each. You need 6 Crestcloths for the full set: 1 for the hat, 3 for the top, 2 for the legs.

Weapon:Staff of Light -> Brimstone Staff -> Kodai Wand -> Nightmare Staff (Terror) -> Cursed Kodai Wand

• Kodai Wand is obtained in a purple chest in the Chambers of Xeric raid. Take a Kodai Wand and 50m platinum tokens (50b cash) to the Platinum Trader in ::shops to make it a Cursed Kodai Wand.
• The Brimstone Staff is made at the Enchant Chest for a Staff of Light and 25 Brimstone Keys with a 50% success rate.

Shield:Tome of Fire (i) -> Ancient Wyvern Shield -> Book of Chaos -> Frozen Wyvern Shield -> Siren Tome -> Tome of Shadows

• The Ancient Wyvern Shield can be obtained by using a Wyvern Visage on an Elemental Shield from the slayer shop. Full Ancient Wyvern Shields can be receivedas a rare drop from Prize Boxes, Prize Chests, Donator Mystery Boxes, and Mystery Chests. The Wyvern Visage can be obtained as a rare drop from the Crystal Chest.
• The Wyvern Shield Enchantment can be purchased from the runecoin machine at ::rc for 15k runecoins and upgrades an Ancient Wyvern Shield into a Frozen Wyvern Shield.
• The Book of Chaos can be obtained from a Nardah Impling or from a Minigame Mystery Box.
• The Tome of Shadows can be obtained as a rare drop from the Nazastarool boss in the Kharazi minigame or from a Minigame Mystery Box.

Blessings:Efficiency Blessing -> Chaos Blessing -> Blessing of Armaments -> Blessing of Artillery

• The Chaos Blessing is obtained a Nardah Impling or from a Minigame Mystery Box.

Necklace:Amulet of the Damned (t) -> Occult Necklace -> Cursed Necklace -> Arcane Stream Necklace -> Kodai Necklace

• An Occult Necklace can be obtained as a rare drop from a Thermonuclear Smoke Devil or from Prize Boxes and Prize Chests. Take this necklace to the Cursed Enchanter in the Cursed Cavern along with 10k blood money to make it a Cursed Necklace.
• The Kodai Necklace is made at the Enchant Chest with an Arcane Stream Necklace, Kodai's Shards, and a Tormented Bracelet. The Kodai's Shards are obtained from a purple chest in the Chambers of Xeric raid. The Tormented Bracelet can be crafted using azenyte, however this is not recommended since zenyte gems can be used to make Imbuing Stones. Instead, I recommend players wait until they receive one from a Donator Mystery Box or a Mystery Chest.

Ring:Ring of Vigour -> Crystal Ring ->Brimstone Ring (i) -> Grand Ring (i) -> Holy Ring -> Crystal Ring (i)

• The Holy Ring will be the best in slot ring for as long as you use an Infernal Halo.
• The Grand Ring (i) is preffered by most players for content that requires more than one attack style since it has better stats for the other two styles.

Gloves:Karamja Gloves 3 -> Elemental Runecraft Gloves -> Tormented Bracelet -> Tormented Bracelet (or)

• The Elemental Runecraft Gloves can be enchanted at the Enchant Chest using the Air, Water, Earth, and Fire Runecraft Gloves with a 50% success rate. Runecrafting gloves are bought from the wizard at the Astral Altar in exchange for charged astral shards.
• The Tormented Bracelet can be crafted using azenyte, however this is not recommended since zenyte gems can be used to make Imbuing Stones. Instead, I recommend players wait until they receive one from a Donator Mystery Box or a Mystery Chest.
• Contrary to what some new players might think, you cannot upgrade a Tormented Bracelet into a Tormented Bracelet (or). The Tormented Bracelet (or) is only received as a rare reward from Elite Task Scrolls. (Another reason to do your daily task scroll money making challenges.)

Boots:Devout Boots -> Molten Boots

• Molten Boots can be obtained by opening Grand Crests or as a rare reward from opening the Larran's Chest in the wilderness. I do not recommend players open crests to try to acquire these boots until they have all of the crest armors.
• Many players prefer to use Devout Boots over Molten Boots because of the +16 prayer boost. Molten Boots do not give any Magic Damage % stat boost, only higher accuracy, which will not increase the max hit.
