Man 'disgusted' after biting into Taco Bell meal and 'discovering nose ring' (2024)

A Taco Bell customer claims he was put off his food after taking a bite of his meal and allegedly discovering a nose ring.

Taking to Reddit, he shared a snap of his lunch, which appeared to show the nasal decoration piercing a piece of diced onion. He wrote: "Found a nose ring in my taco bell today!"

Naturally, it prompted a series of predictable quips including "nobody nose where it came from" and "that's snot funny", before matters took a more serious turn.

"I’d definitely go back and bring it to their attention," another Reddit user advised. "Whoever lost that is probably wondering where it went."

The man responded: "I called and told them, she said 'nobody here has a nose stud'. I replied, 'Well not anymore!'" Another person theorised: "I wonder if they get some of their ingredients already prepped. Like some onion chopper at a different location lost their nose ring. Worth going to the next level to report. You’re lucky you didn’t break a tooth or worse!"

On the contrary, the man claimed he did in fact suffer a dental issue as a result. "I mean part of my filling broke a bit, but such a small amount," he said.

"Report them to the health department," a furious Reddit user recommended. "Depending on how Taco Bell processes their food, dept of agriculture might be interested. Just tell them you found a foreign object in your food."

A second person suggested: "Go directly to Taco Bell corporate with this. Let them know you will be reaching out to your local food safety inspectors as well. You need to report this. The health code violations are HIGH on this."

And a third agreed: "This. Even if it’s not a nose ring specifically, coming from someone with piercings, I’m beyond disgusted with the idea of putting even my OWN piercings in my mouth. The thought of someone else’s wound plug ending up in my food is absolutely horrific."

Others apparently spotted a hair in the man's second image. "Umm, gross... the icing on the cake is the curly black hair in pic 2," one person hit out. "Take this all the way up the ladder. If they don't offer to rectify it in a manner satisfactory to you, then hire a lawyer. This is disgusting."

Taco Bell has been approached for comment.
