The answer to that question is YES. It’s a constant debate whether to go with a practical shower option or should we indulge in the romantic bath idea. It’s not always easy to make that decision and maybe you don’t have to.
Whether it is a bathroom renovation or a completely new bathroom, a shower bath can be a very good compromise.
Most bathrooms are quite small and won’t be able to fit both the shower and a beautiful freestanding bathtub – we are all dreaming about this last one, right? So having the combination of two will be a great space saver without compromising your wishes. Now, a freestanding bathtub unfortunately wouldn’t make the cut in this scenario. But a nice soaking drop-in bath will work very well.
Maybe some are not fond of the idea of having a shower in the bath but there are a few ways you can make this area visually attractive. And that might change your mind.
For example, you can use this space to display some gorgeous tiles, and have an eye-catching feature wall behind the bath. Or get some really good quality tapware. Another option is to have a glass shower screen with a curved edge or with a fluted surface to add some designer feel to it.
To keep the bath edges clutter-free from shampoos and shower gels, there is an option to do a recessed shower niche, where everything is in hand reach when needed.
A shower bath has the following advantages:
- Nothing is better than running a hot bath after a long day at work or an intense workout for some ‘me’ time.
- All the families with kids appreciate a bath option.
- Great for washing a dog.
